On December 12, the Symposium for the International Communication Talents of Zhejiang Women’s New Media Alliance., as well as the launch ceremony of ZWF’s English Website was held in Hangzhou. Themed "Tides of Zhijiang, Women in Focus", the event brought together representatives of international communication talents from universities in Zhejiang province, with participants hailing from 14 countries.Through policy interpretation, interactive exchanges, field visit and platform launch, the event integrates international communication resources in Zhejiang, establishes a new window for Zhejiang women to connect with the global community,  amplifying the outreach of the stories of Zhejiang and its women, both domestically and internationally.

At the symposium,the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the spirit of President Xi Jinping's keynote speech at the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women, and the spirit of the Eighth Plenary Session of the 15th Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee were promulgated. It elaborated on the vital significance of strengthening international communication against the backdrop of building a highly capable open and strong province , and introduced the development of the talent team of Zhejiang Women’s New Media Alliance as well as the priorities and directions of international communication regarding women in Zhejiang.

The international communication talents were encouraged to: First, be attentive observers and recorders, capturing authentic details by engaging with both urban and rural life; Second, become innovative translators and narrators,transforming Zhejiang's stories into languages that resonate globally through multiple forms; Third, act as two-way communicators and facilitators, not only sharing Zhejiang's stories with the world but also bringing diverse global feedback to Zhejiang.Three principles were stressed: Upholding authenticity in content, jointly maintaining a clean cyberspace, and leveraging technology to empower communication, thereby fostering a healthy and credible online ecosystem to help stories of Zhejiang women reach the world in an authentic, vivid, and effective manner.

Representatives of international communicaiton talents from different universities shared their experiences and insights. Drawing from hands-on experiences, they presented vivid stories of Zhejiang women in areas such as cultural exchanges under the Belt and Road Initiative, technological innovation, and rural revitalization. They also explored how to better tell stories of Zhejiang and its women from a female perspective.The representatives put forward advices and suggestions from different dimensions, such as overseas audience needs, content innovation approaches and cross-cultural communication techniques, many of which were both innovative and practical.

The event officially launched the English website of Zhejiang Women’s Federation.The website comprises seven core sections—News, People, Exchanges, Services, Culture, ZWF (Zhejiang Women's Federation), and About Zhejiang.Through a comprehensive, multi-tiered content layout and an international lens, it presents a panoramic view of the high-quality development of the women's cause in Zhejiang.

The website serves as both a primary information source for the world to learn about Zhejiang women and experience the vitality of the province, and a digital bridge connecting Chinese and foreign cultures. It not only enables the global audience to gain a comprehensive understanding of the distinctive characteristics of Zhejiang women--their diligence and perseverance, wisdom and innovation, craftsmanship and inheritance, openness and inclusiveness, but also makes the portrait of women perceptible, accessible and disseminable.

To enhance international communication capacity, the ZWF further expanded the circle of friends of Zhejiang Women’s New Media Alliance.

At the event, appointment letters were presented to new members of the Alliance. As passionate and influential content creators, they will adopt youthful perspectives and a global vision to convey a more vibrant and multidimensional voice of Zhejiang to the world through youth-oriented and globally resonant means of expression.

The dual synergy between the symposium and the launch of the English website is not only a proactive response to the consensus on enhancing the effectiveness of international communication and promoting the international sharing of achievements in women's development, but also a concrete practice in Zhejiang's efforts to build a province with high-level cultural strength and high-efficiency openness.

Looking ahead, the Zhejiang Women's New Media Alliance—as the nation’s first provincial-level women’s new media exchange and cooperation platform established by the Zhejiang Women's Federation—will continue to recruit outstanding international communication talents. Leveraging the English website as its  vehicle, it will deepen content creation and dissemination innovation to ensure that the stories of Zhejiang women will echo in harmony with the province’s development. Thus the tide of Zhijiang will resonate far and wide, and the portrait of women will unfold in ever more splendid colors.
