From January 30 to 31, Wu Hongmei, Secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and President of the Zhejiang Women's Federation(ZWF), led a working group to Wuyi County for pre-holiday outreach visits and pair-up assistance inspection.
In Tanhong Township, a pairing assistance site of the provincial Women's Federation, Wu and her working group visited women in need, former village-level women's federation cadres and Party members in difficulty. They had cordial conversations with them, carefully inquiring about their physical health, family and living conditions, and listening attentively to their actual difficulties and pressing needs. They also presented them with cash grants, care packages and Spring Festival greetings, urging them to take good care of themselves, stay positive and reach out to the women's federation for help whenever they encounter difficulties.

Wu and the working group conducted on-site inspections of the paired-up assistance projects in Tanhong Township, including the Local Specialty Inheritance Center in Shangtan Village and the supplied materials processing program in Shangtao Village. In the discussion session, the group listened to briefings on the basic situation of Tanhong Township and its paired assistance work, gaining an in-depth understanding of the development of grassroots women's federations, employment assistance for women, and care for left-behind women and children.
Wu stressed the importance of keeping centering on the aspirations of women and children for a better life, and called for efforts to continuously expand service channels and innovate working methods, and comprehensively strengthen the building of grassroots women's federations and cadre team. She urged to take practical measures to improve the quality and efficiency of the work of women's federations, so as to constantly enhance the sense of gain, happiness and security of women, children and their families. It was emphasized that efforts should be focused on strengthening villages and enriching the people, with sustained support for paired assistance programs to ensure their effective implementation. Greater efforts are needed to drive women to integrate into the development of local industries, enabling them to secure employment and income growth right at their doorsteps, and inject their strength into rural revitalization.

During the inspection, Wu and her group also visited the Women and Children’s Service Station in Hushan Subdistrict and Zhejiang Apollo Sports Technology Co., Ltd. to get a sense of the local efforts in work related to care services for women and children, the development of women's federations in emerging fields, and women's innovation and entrepreneurship.
