Recently, Xiong Rong—Chief Scientist at the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, a QiushiDistinguished Professor at Zhejiang University, and a  Zhejiang Provincial March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter —was honored by the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) with the 2026 Women Shaping the Future of Robotics award.

Widely hailed as the "Oscar for women in robotics," this prestigious global accolade selects only 11 outstanding women each year. Professor Xiong stands as the sole honoree from China this year.
